The Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA) is one of the prestigious follow-up professional management studies for experienced professionals who want to lead healthcare organizations strategically and manage changes beyond a single department or process. At the same time, healthcare needs to protect the quality and safety of care, manage limited resources, respond to legislation, develop people and use digital technologies. Therefore, the program builds on systems thinking and the ability to transform analysis into feasible organizational change.
It is intended for directors and senior managers of healthcare facilities, heads of medical and non-clinical units, experts from health insurance companies, public administration, the pharmaceutical and technology sectors, consultants and leaders of transformation projects. It will be used by professionals who make decisions about investments, processes, capacities, partnerships or digital services and need to balance the interests of patients, staff, payers, regulators and founders. It is a managerial professional education, not a substitute for clinical qualifications.
The content connects economics, financial management and insurance in healthcare with the financing system, operational management, marketing and project management. Legislation, ethics in working with the client and the protection of personal data support safe and trustworthy decision-making. Digital health opens up questions of data, processes, accessibility and adoption of technology by users. The graduate should be able to analyze the problem at the level of the entire organization, name the clinical, operational, financial, legal and personnel consequences, and design a procedure with clear accountability and measurement of results. The knowledge can be used in hospital transformation, integration of digital solutions, setting up a portfolio of services, capacity optimization, crisis management or development of partnerships. The methodology of the thesis supports an evidence-based project based on concrete practice. He/she is able to work with relevant information, compare variants of change, name their consequences and propose a way to implement and evaluate results. He/she is ready to lead interdisciplinary cooperation, coordinate transformation projects and make transparent decisions even in conditions of uncertainty or crisis. He/she processes the applied thesis with an emphasis on the quality and safety of services, ethics, sustainability and respect for the boundaries of clinical and other regulated professions.

- The study begins every year in February and September, lasts 1 academic year (2 semesters), in full-time or distance (online) form.
